Certification and quality control

Start with certification. A manufacturer’s ISO status (and what it actually covers) tells you how consistently they can repeat a spec across a production run. QPI Plastic (company no. 91034-W, established 1982) operates an ISO-certified quality process, with the certificate viewable on the About page.

Production capacity and machine range

Machine tonnage determines what part sizes and wall thicknesses a manufacturer can realistically mold. QPI Plastic runs 14+ injection molding machines from 40 to 550 tons of clamping force, covering small precision components through larger structural parts.

Tooling and mold development

Manufacturers who design tooling in-house can iterate faster and control cost more tightly than those who outsource mold-making. QPI Plastic develops tooling in-house alongside secondary processes like silk screen printing and hot stamping.

Pricing and minimum order quantities

“Affordable” is relative to tooling amortization and run length. Rather than a flat MOQ across every product, QPI Plastic sets minimum order quantities per project based on tooling complexity and part size — request a quote against your specific part spec for an exact figure.

Sourcing internationally

If you’re sourcing from outside Malaysia, ask for a manufacturer’s actual export history and shipping terms, not just a country list. QPI Plastic supplies local and international buyers, including confirmed export markets across Africa, the United States and Canada for several of its product lines.
